Kurtis Donisthorpe has been a Senior Trial Prosecutor at the District Attorney’s Office in San Juan County, and in Dona Anna County. While there he gained experience in a variety of criminal matters as a Senior Trial Attorney, Head of the Intake and Charging Unit. In the courtroom he specialized in general felonies, DUI misdemeanor and felonies and High Intensity Drug Trafficking (H.I.D.T.A) prosecution with over fifty five jury trials as a prosecutor.
After leaving the District Attorney’s Offices Kurtis Donisthorpe transferred to the Children, Youth and Families Department( CYFD).While at CYFD he worked as a Children’s Court Attorney. During this time he worked with respondent’s attorneys, guardian ad litems and worked adoption and reunification cases.
His experience in criminal prosecution and civil litigation is extensive and effectively intersects his expertise with his. It is his belief that what wins a case is experience, passion, and professionalism.
